Description: Full-length portrait shows Charles John Kean as Hamlet: dressed in dark tunic with white collar, leggings, high-laced boots, and ermine-lined cape. He leans on tombstone with one hand extended, one on chin. Plumed hat rests on tombstone, with skull at base of stone, and stick or bone in foreground. Gray sky is seen.
