Description: Bust portrait shows Bacchus as a young boy, facing left, with head turned to viewer. He has brown-red curly hair, and blue eyes, and wears white, toga-like garb. The image is round on a square canvas.
Signatures/Inscriptions/Labels: Signature, lower left: "ROBERTSON". Label on front, typed: "'J.H. MEREDITH'". On verso (in pencil): "12". On stretcher, typed: "YOUNG BACCHUS / Artist: John R. Robertson / Presented to this Society / April, 1891, by / Mrs. Jos. H. Meredith"
