Description: Outdoor scene shows group of six men, Washington and generals, standing on grass at right with tree behind them. Sand in middleground leads to ocean showing ships in ocean. Small village, Yorktown, on overlook in middleground. Men with horses shown in center foreground. 2/3 of painting is blue-gray-pink sky.
Signatures/Inscriptions/Labels: Inscription: "WATERPROOF LINING / & / RESTORING / BY C. VOLKMAR / N. Frederic St. no. 10 / BALTIMORE". Two labels on verso. See written conservator's report in catalogue folder.
