Maryland Clay at the George Peabody Library: An Exhibition of Ceramic Works by Maryland Artists

The works exhibited represent an active, committed, and diverse group of talented artists whose passion and studio practice is grounded in a shared medium.
February 01, 2005-Maryland Clay is a juried exhibition of ceramic works by more than 40 Maryland artists presented in conjunction with Tour de Clay, a six-week celebration of ceramic art featuring over 170 exhibitions throughout the state of Maryland. The 80 works in Maryland Clay showcase the numerous possibilities of art in clay and illustrate the scope of talent throughout the state. Maryland Clay was juried by noted ceramic artist Jimmy Clark, executive director of Peters Valley Craft Education Center in Layton, New Jersey.

Opening Reception

George Peabody Library, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Featured Speakers: Deborah Bedwell, Executive Director, Baltimore Clayworks and Jimmy Clark, Executive Director, Peters Valley Craft Education Center.

The reception is free and open to the public, but guests must call 410-578-1919 to register.
