BaltimoreFunGuide.com is the culmination of several years of collaborative work among the art and cultural institutions in the region. "We recognized that in order for cultural institutions to grow their audiences, they needed to find ways to collectively market their own programs while also embracing the recreation and entertainment venues and seeking opportunities to co-market," said Nancy Haragan, Executive Director of the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance (GBCA), the organization behind BaltimoreFunGuide.com. "Through a strength in numbers approach, we have brought together the art, culture, recreational and entertainment venues and have created a unique and single on-line source that works for everyone."
At the core of BaltimoreFunGuide.com are several tiers of participation:

"Moreover, the site establishes a media outlet for the cultural community which gives us the credibility and clout to control our destiny."
